LP (Item 946405) Tower, Late 60s — Condition: Very Good

Groovy Capitol Records pop – one gal, three guys, and arrangements by Jimmy Wisner and Herb Bernstein!  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover has some light wear, and one slightly bumped corner.)

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Sunrays

Andrea
Tower, Mid 60s. Very Good+
Perfect summer pop! After Murray Wilson was kicked out by his sons, the Beach Boys, he went on to prove to the world that he could create another group that was every bit as good as them. Truth is, he failed, but that doesn't stop the Sunrays from being a fantastic bit of 60's pop surf harmony ... LP, Vinyl record album

Young Americans
RCA, 1975. Very Good+
A brilliant soul album! That's right, we said SOUL album! Flamin Groovies

Teenage Head
Kama Sutra, 1971. Very Good+
Maybe the best-remembered album ever from the all-great Flaming Groovies – and a set with a classic cover image that really lives up to the music! The Groovies have an unusual blend of old school rocking with hipper post-60s sensibilities – almost their own faux-retro sound to rival ... LP, Vinyl record album

Robb Kunkel

Abyss
Tumbleweed, 1973. Near Mint-
An album that maybe doesn't really fit its title – as the sound here is so warm and enveloping, it hardly feels like stepping into the abyss! A great solo live performance by Hamiet Bluiett – of the sort that made him one of the most expressive saxophonists on the New York scene at the time!
