Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
The tunes here are all penned by Chico Buarque and Noel Rosa – but Isaura Garcia gives them a really unique approach, thanks to her blend of samba rhythms and sweet jazzy touches! As on some of Isaura's other albums from the time, there's a fair bit of Hammond organ in the mix here – ... LP, Vinyl record album
A very cool album – done in collaboration with Varig airlines, with arrangements of "Zazueira", "Se Voce Pena", "Cade Tereza", "Memorias De Marta Sare", and some lively percussive tracks on the other side – with even a bit of sound effects! LP, Vinyl record album
Titles include "Tropico Banana", "De Bem Com A Vida", "Foi Deus", "Capoiera Larara", "Maracuja Pro Bebe", "Macacos Me Mordam", and "Batuque No Cais". LP, Vinyl record album
Small combo work from Dick Farney – an artist who'd rise to greater fame in the bossa years, but who here is leading a small jazz group with vibes, guitar, bass, and drums! LP, Vinyl record album
The group MPB4 pays tribute to some of the greatest Brazilian singers of the 20th Century, from Tom Jobim to Monsueto to Baden Powell to Nelson Cavaquinho. The LP features a number of different "pot pourri" sets dedicated to an individual singer. The group runs through tracks by the ... LP, Vinyl record album
An excellent set from the time when this older Brazilian singer was really stretching out his wings in the 70s – working with backings from Meirelles, plus a bit of help from Gaya and Francis Hime! Features songs from Him, Antonio Carlos & Jocafi, and even Michel Colombier. LP, Vinyl record album
(Cover has some ring and edge wear, lightly bent panels and edges, and some sticker remnants, small name in pen, and a small stain in back.)LP, Vinyl record album
A rare bossa set from Argentina – but one that sparkles like some of the best MPB of the time! The lovely Maria De Fatima sings and plays guitar in a style that's not unlike Joyce – quite warm, and often a bit airy – gliding out beautifully over lightly dancing rhythms that draw ...
