Day In Algonquin Park – Sounds Of Nature Vol 2

LP (Item 943860) Federation Of Ontario Naturalists (Canada), 1960s — Condition: Very Good

...

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A really cool album from this legendary record pressing plant – a one-sided disc that's a mad mash-up of music, spoken bits, and more – almost with the vibe of some Jon Appleton sound collage! LP, Vinyl record album

Peter King Quartet

Focus – KPM 1307
KPM (UK), 1983. Near Mint-
More of a straight jazz album than usual for the KPM sound library – an excellent set featuring British alto player Peter King – with John Horler on piano, Dave Green on bass, and Spike Wells on drums! LP, Vinyl record album
Orion, Early 80s. Very Good
Later work from the Gus Giordano dance studios – a session that's not as funky as some of their earlier work, but still mostly original material played by a group of local Chicago studio musicians! The feel here is mostly an early 80s approach to jazz funk – smooth at times, with a ... LP, Vinyl record album

David Lee/Group Six Players

All That Jazz – KPM 1014
KPM (UK), 1967. Near Mint-
A straight jazz album recorded for the KPM sound library – but a pretty groovy one at that! All the work here is the product of David Lee and his un-named Group Six Players – a cool combo who feature piano, trumpet, guitar, and a bit of flute – all over some really wonderful ... Roy Ayers

Tear To A Smile
Polydor, 1975. Near Mint-
One of the best early soul albums by Roy Ayers! Roy's working here with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Edwin Birdsong, William Allen, Harry Whitaker, and other hip players – a perfect crew to forge Roy's unique blend of jazz and soul. This is perhaps the first record to really have Roy stretching out ... LP, Vinyl record album

Asha Puthli

L'Indiana
Dash, 1978. Near Mint-
The only album ever issued in the US by European soul singer Asha Pulthi – an artist who was doing some great spacey funk in the mid 70s, then made a strong shift into tighter grooves in the disco years! This album's a great blend of Asha's earlier vocal style and some of the newer clubby ... LP, Vinyl record album
