Man Size Love (extended remix, inst, man size mix, son of man size mix)

12-inch (Item 943829) MCA, 1986 — Condition: Very Good

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

War/Lonnie Jordan

Galaxy/Junkie To My Music
MCA, 1979. Very Good
A split single from War, and lead singer Lonnie Jordan. "Galaxy" is a later funky classic by the group – strutting out with some sweet funky riffing, ensemble vocals, and a powerful groove that's always been a dancefloor pleaser! "Junkie To My Music" has a syncopated ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

The mid 80s... when a song like this passed for politics in music! Forget the stupid message lyrics, though, and remember that Hardcastle cracked a lot of scenes with the cut – forging kind of a pop-political-street beat kind of groove. 12-inch, Vinyl record

Originals/Jermaine Jackson

Down To Love Town/Let's Be Young Tonight
Motown, 1976. Very Good (pic cover)
A split Motown single, featuring an artist on each side, and tracks that are definitely designed to cash in on the dancefloor cash! The Originals step out in a full disco mode with "Downtown To Love Town" – a swirling number that's filled with lots of strings, and which boogies on ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

After "The Bottle", Joe's big remake of the Gil Scott Heron song in 1975, "Rap-O Clap-O" was probably his second biggest club cut. The track's got a very catchy groove – with sort of a stomping beat that Joe used to cook up his own dance. Arranged by the great Marty ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Chinese Rap (voc, inst)
Top Flight, 1982. Very Good
An odd 12" from a group that made a handful of recordings for the Ze label. The track's basically a rip off of Skyy's "Call Me", with some strange ad-libbed "rap" over top, part of which sounds kind of like a Chipmunk's record. Bizarre. 12-inch, Vinyl record
