I Just Can't Leave You Alone (vocal, inst)

7-inch (Item 941446) Timmion (Finland), 2018 — Condition: Near Mint-
Just Sold Out!

7-inch, Vinyl record

❔

Massive drums really get this one going – a hard, heavy, almost-classic drum break that begins the tune – and sounds great next to the more easygoing vocals of Willie West – as he brings a great deep soul touch to the tune, alongside this floating flute played by Jimi Tenor! There's lots more flute on the flipside – an instrumental that really lets you enjoy the drums!  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Timmion (Finland), 2017. Near Mint-
A hard-hitting romper from trumpeter Jukka Eskola – a tune that has the trumpeter working with the well-named Soul Trio – in a groove that feels like some lost jukebox jazz single from the 60s, with the trumpet popping nicely alongside a soaring Hammond! Thee Baby Cuffs & Cold Diamond & Mink

My My My Baby (vocal, inst)
Timmion (Finland), 2018. Near Mint-
Thee Baby Cuffs have a mighty strange name, but they work together as a trio with a sweet soul feel – getting this slow funk backing from Cold Diamond & Mink – who've already shown us their mighty talents for getting a 70s indie soul groove just right! There's a nice crispy edge ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

A great funky instrumental, with lots of moog in it – a little like "Popcorn", but funkier! "Pinch Of Salt" is pretty nice too – uptempo and instrumental, with a nice dose of organ! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Wes Wells & The Steelers

It Must Be Love/From The Top of My Heart
Torrid, Late 60s. Near Mint-
The Steelers were one of the best harmony groups to ever come out of Chicago, and although they never broke as big as some of their east coast counterparts, they cut some pretty darn nice singles in their day – including this one! The record's arranged by the great Floyd Morris, and the cut ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
Newmiss, Early 70s. Near Mint-
Sublime stuff! "I Don't Know" is a great deep soul harmony cut – rolling into a midtempo groove from the intro like a rare Stax gem, with some great guitar and organ riffing along with the vocals, which are sung in a mode that's raspy and sweet at the same time! "Look What ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
