Totally Wired Sweden

CD (Item 936654) Acid Jazz (UK), 1994 — Condition: Used
Out Of Stock

CD

✈

A one-off release by Acid Jazz – but we wish they'd done more in this series! The set's a look at the hip jazz funk scene from Sweden during the early 90s – and apart from the Ulf Sandburg Trio, who'd recorded previously for Acid Jazz, and The Blacknuss All Stars, most of these artists are ones that we'd never heard from again. There's a wealth of great material, and the pacing of the set is right in line with the UK/US grooves on previous volumes in the Totally Wired series. Titles include "Mission 65" by Happy Alright, "Give It All You Got" by Bullitt, "Fallin Down" by Vibe, "Love Is A Wonderful Thing" by Fatima Rainey, "Sad To Sever" by Newtone, "Bumble Bee" by Jon Hall, "Soul Sister" by Bob Manning, "When Love Begins" by Magnum Coltrane Price, and "Movin On" by Celestine.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Out of print.)

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

One of the most captivating albums we've heard on Ubiquity in a long time – and one of the most gentle, too! Damon Aaron's a wonderfully skilled singer/songwriter – one with a pensive, quiet sort of feel – but never in ways that are sleepy or noodly. Instead, he brings a bit of ... CD
