Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Marley's last studio LP, this effort shows there was no letting up, either in his political stance or fiery songwriting. With the solid original rhythm section of Family Man & Carlton Barrett and the beautiful backing harmonies of the I-Three's, this set includes classic takes of "Redempti ... LP, Vinyl record album
Another massive Tubby dub collection, but you might never know it from the cheap looking cover. Mid to late 70s dub workouts of Striker Lee tracks cut by the mighty Aggrovators, some with radical dub effects and one drops, others with a nice and subtle touch flavoring the mix. 14 tracks: "Bon ... A classic double live album from Bob Marley & The Wailers – presented and packaged at a level that's really a cut above the usual set of that nature from the time! The group's in excellent form in a concert setting – and there's more than enough magic here to warrant the extended ... LP, Vinyl record album
A big big crossover album from the UK ska scene of the early 80s – built upon the ashes of the older Specials group, but still with plenty of the dark edges we'd come to expect in Jerry Dammers work! There's a bit more electric instrumentation at the bottom of the tracks, but the sound is ... LP, Vinyl record album
Fantastic funk from 9th Creation – a group who really tighten up their sound for this record, but still stay as wonderful as before! There's a totally right-on-the-money vibe to the whole thing – like the best Wayne Henderson/At Home productions from the late 70s – or maybe that ... LP, Vinyl record album
Our favorite album ever from Tyrone Davis – even if it's completely different than most of his other work too! The set's got a wonderfully smooth feel right from the start – a mellow-grooving, slow-stepping approach that works perfectly for Tyrone's wonderful vocals – pushing ... LP, Vinyl record album
