Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
The long-anticipated second album from Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings is a stunner – undoubtedly stronger than the group's fantastic debut – and a record that not only transcends the late model funk revival genre, but stands on footing as solid as the best hard funky soul of the late ... CD
Maybe the coolest record we've ever heard from this mod British combo – a set that gets way past the easy retro references of previous albums, and goes for a vibe that's quite complicated, but still pretty darn groovy! The set's got the look and feel of the best jazzy soundtracks of the 60s ... CD
Groovy keys from Paolo Apollo Negri – working with diverse inspiration from spacey moog jazz to electric funk – with a guest vocalists on a few tracks and backing by the Hellfire Horns! Paolo has always had a great way of bringing in inspiration from classic keyboard jazz from the 60s ... CD
Mindblowing stuff – maybe the deepest album we've heard so far from Quantic, and a great step forward for Alice Russell too! After years of working in some of the best contemporary funk modes around, Quantic really expands his vision here – hitting a level of maturity that brings in ... CD
A bold step forward from Lack Of Afro – the modern funk & soul vehicle of producer, DJ and song stylist Adam Gibbons! The slew of singles and trio of full lengths that we'd heard prior to This Time have all been really impressive – a mix of breakbeat funk era and classic ... CD
Killer jazz and soul work from Snowboy – some overlooked sides that are easily some of the best grooves of his scene at the time! Snowboy first got his start as a Latin percussionist – adding a lot of firey energy to the London jazz scene in the early Acid Jazz years – but by the ... CD
A searing set from The Baker Brothers – only the group's second album, but a smoking little live recording that almost blows away the first! These guys bring a new intensity to the deep funk scene – as they've got a command of their instruments that's so strong, they almost jam with ... CD
The most uncategorizable grooves in the canon of Guillermo Scott Herren – his Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and otherwise keys-and-drums centered Piano Overlord guise – and a collection of rare vinyl singles cut from 03-05! Maestro Scott wrote, plays, and produced all the tracks – done with ... CD
One of the hippest non-reissue records we've heard so far from the Jazzman Records empire – a massive set of grooves with a really odd sort of feel! Natural Yogurt Band work in spare, funky territory – serving up some very heavy drums (played by Wayne Fullwood, formerly of Little ... CD
Switched On funk from Mr Chop! Here's an homage to the innovative Moog-based LPs of the late 60s and early 70s – though the the great UK analog studio wiz Mr Chop is also doing it hard and heavy – it's not a light, airy and bubbly keyboard groove experience – this is spacey, ... CD
A killer combo from the Japanese jazz scene – one who work with the rhythmic core of the club jazz groups from years back, but who also take off with a lot more fire on their instrumentation! The tunes here often have a romping sort of rhythm – with lots of heavy acoustic bass and ... CD
An overlooked mid 90s set from The Brand New Heavies – not as hitbound as some of their earlier work, but still plenty darn great – recorded with a strong emphasis on the vocals, and a no-nonsense soul sound that's always refreshing! There's one or two instrumentals on the album, but ... CD
