Leaders Of The Brew School

CD (Item 935352) Melting Pot (Germany), 2013 — Condition: Used
$8.99 ...

CD

A timeless, crackling soul and west coast funk-inspired hip hop instrumentals set from Melting Pot Music supergroup Betty Ford Boys – the triple threat production trio of Suff Daddy, Dexter and Brenk Sinatra! Each one manages to serve up what we've dug to date from their earlier, separate productions – from the Moog-flavored funk of Suff Daddy, to the classic G-Funk-inspired funk of Brenk Sinatra, to the hip hop funk electicism of Dexter – and it's all held together nicely thanks the intoxicating concept and the thematic vocal samples. Includes "The Time Has Come (4 Us To Be One)", "Hero Heroin", "Icky", "Papa Was ( A Junky), Too", "Everyday", "Tell Her", "Sippin'", "Legalize Every MF Thing", "Hold Up", "Making Love Good", "Coco Puffs", "I Need A 40", "Snow Soul", "Till The Wheels Fall Off", "Drinkin' Hennessy" and more.  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

Melting Pot (Germany), 2013. Used
Funky hip hop beatcraft laced with far out psychedelic samples from German producer Dexter – and it's a trip, alright – a far out funky one at that! Dexter lays down a thick layer of hypnotic beats underneath a sprawling batch of sampled sounds from the psychedelic area and beyond, but ... CD

Ice Cube

Lethal Injection
Priority, 1993. Used
A sharp, angry salvo from Ice Cube! Cube's early 90s solo style was firmly established at this point, so Lethal Injection doesn't have the acknowledged classic status of his previous couple albums, but he's still close to his prime that it's well worth your dollar! As you'd guess from the title, ... CD

Aching for the days when the Native Tongues walked the earth? Vintage jazzy Gang Starr? Wish there were more cats out there like People Under The Stairs? Big Boss Man

Winner
Blow Up (UK), 2005. Used
It's been a few years since we last heard from Big Boss Man – but it's been well worth the wait, as these guys know how to cook up a mod groove better than just about anyone else! Winner's got a sound that takes us back to the swinginest days of London in the 60s – Hammond wailing over ... CD
