This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of the better releases of the classic Ballots or Bullets speech by Malcolm. Issued by First Amendment Records, part of the Jamie/Josie group of labels. The quality is good, and the label indicates that Betty Shabazz got royalties from the album. Nice cover shot of Malcolm, too. LP, Vinyl record album
Ken Nordine's first album of goofy jazzy stuff, recorded with the groovy Fred Katz group, and featuring such gems as "The Sound Museum", "Flibberty Jib", and "Hunger Is From". Sampled by United Future Organisation and a whole bunch of others. This is probably his best ... LP, Vinyl record album
Some of the greatest work you could ever find by Lenny Bruce! This set is a brilliant re-creation of a live show that Lenny cut at midnight at Carnegie Hall on February 4, 1961. Unlike some of his LPs from the time - which often featured a lot of set routines – this one just has Lenny ... LP, Vinyl record album
This hip comedian from the early 60's did routines that involved sound effects with commentary. This album's got a bunch of short goofy tracks that, although not exactly in the Ken Nordine vein, still have the same love of sound gags that he did. LP, Vinyl record album
A strangely compelling record by Henry Gibson – an artist who's known for his work on so many fronts, from his classic appearances in 70s Robert Altman films, his 60s work on Laugh-In, and his more recent stint in Magnolia! This set's a pretty weird little batch of comedy routines – ... LP, Vinyl record album
A fantastic collection of spoken word material from the Giorno Poetry System – featuring artists from both their dial-a-poem series, and the NY downtown scene! The set was one of the last, and most distributed of the label – and features work from Tom Waits, Butthole Surfers, Nick Cave ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the few cases in jazz where an oft-played classic still resonates with power! The record itself is a key cap to Miles Davis' already-groundbreaking years of the 60s – a bold step forward, not just for his nascent electric sound, but also for jazz in general – and the benchmark ... LP, Vinyl record album
A real standout in the early career of trumpeter Freddie Hubbard – a very unique session that has him working with some larger arrangements in the background – blowing these magical solos over the top, while still hitting a great edge with the rest of the musicians as well! There's a ... LP, Vinyl record album
