Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

Yellow Magic Orchestra

X 8 Multiplies
Alfa (Japan), 1979. Used
The second album from Haruomi Hosono, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi, not as much of an electro groove filled affair as the first, but still a great batch of quirky techno-electro Asian pop with lots of great bubbling synth touches! 8 tracks in all including "Behind The Mask", ... CD

Yellow Magic Orchestra

Technodelic
Alfa (Japan), 1981. Used
We're not certain where this falls in the order of YMO Japanese releases, but it's definitely a bit after their stunning US debut, and we're pretty certain never released outside Japan. A bit more stripped down, but still amazing electro pop from some of the true originators of the genre. 10 ... CD

Steely Dan

Royal Scam
ABC/MCA, 1976. Used
My god, what a record! This one's genius through and through – a set that sometimes gets eclipsed in the brilliance to come, but which is easily one of our favorites ever by Steely Dan! There's a beautifully focused feel here – thanks to Donald Fagan's incredible lead vocals, and a ... CD

Led Zeppelin
Atlantic, 1969. Used
One of the most monumental debuts in rock history – a record that hit the world like a led zeppelin, and left an impression for years to come! Led Zeppelin pretty much took over rock right from the beginning – which isn't too surprising, given that Jimmy Page had an in-demand guitar ... CD
Elektra, 1996. Used
Stereolab's third album for Elektra – continuing their wonderful brand of space age pop in the 90s, and still some of the most exciting music to come from a major label at the time! Many would argue that Emperor Tomato Ketchup is the band's finest moment, and for good reason. The bubbling ... CD

Imagine
Apple, 1971. Used
Not the out there primal scream of Plastic Ono, and more of an impeccably produced, easy to love landmark from John Lennon! The title track, beautiful as it is, is so heavily ingrained into rock & roll myth making machine that it's become too easy to overlook how great most of the songs on the ... CD
