Time To Grow (with download)

LP (Item 918145) Suisa (Switzerland), 2017 — Condition: Sealed

There's always time to grow, but this fresh take on jazzy hip hop soul feels fully ripe and mature to us! Luman Child handles programming, bass, clavinet, Moog, piano and more, brings in a diverse roster of soulful singers, rhymers and instrumental guests, and to all of their credit, it feels lot more like the work of a longtime collective than a studio project. It's a mix of jazzy soul and hip hop vocals with guests Squala Orphan, Sean J Rankine, Fresh Daily, Joseph Junior, Iza Brown and others – and titles include "Life Is Like A Cloud", "All About You" with Sean J Rankine, "Up & Down" with Ryan Marshall & Joseph Junior, "Was It Better" wtih Iza Brown, "The Birdsong" with Denis Corboz leading the way on flugelhorn, "Something About The The Way You Love Me" with Robert Gee, the title track "Time To Grow" with Fresh Daily, "Hey Brother" with Joseph Junior and "Summer Soul". Excellent stuff!  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Shrinkwrap has a hole in one corner.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
