LP (Item 918113) Third Root Music, 2017 — Condition: Sealed
2LP

Top notch Central Texas hip hop collaborative produced by Adrian "AQ" Quesada (Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, Echocentrics, Spanish Gold) – with "Reflection Of The Times" feat Reggie Coby, the title track with Mellow Man Ace, "Justice Or Else", "Yanga's", "Soul Force" feat Da'Shade, Riders Against the Storm, Bavu Blakes & Vocab (plus a vinyl-only remix) and more! 12 tracks in all.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Let's Get It On
Motown, 1994. Near Mint- 2LP
Not actually a group, but a compilation of acts, mostly contemporary soul with some hip hop, produced by Eddie F, who played a role in those days that Puffy Combs would in a few years time. Lots of forgettable radio fodder here, but there is the early Mykill Myers track "Hardcore 4 Eva", ... LP, Vinyl record album

A fluid set of groovy turntablism from DJ Cam! This time out Cam seems to just as eagar give to nod to some of the other titans of DJ culture as he is to move his own work forward – and it's that aristocratic method that really puts the record over. He's got the scratch-and-sample bite of ... LP, Vinyl record album

Joy & Pain
Capitol, 1980. Very Good+
Classic modern soul from the legendary Frankie Beverly! The record's perhaps one of their best remembered – most likely for the killer cut "Joy & Pain", which has a great hook that's been sampled many times over the years. The record also features the wonderful "Southern ... LP, Vinyl record album

Miles Davis

Bitches Brew
Columbia, 1969. Near Mint- 2LP Gatefold
One of the few cases in jazz where an oft-played classic still resonates with power! The record itself is a key cap to Miles Davis' already-groundbreaking years of the 60s – a bold step forward, not just for his nascent electric sound, but also for jazz in general – and the benchmark ... Best Of Cal Tjader
Verve, Mid 60s. Very Good+ Gatefold
Cal cut so many great sides for Verve during the 60s, it's hard to imagine how anyone could come up with a "best of" – but this album fits the bill nicely, and includes a number of solid groover and Latin jazz tracks that fit just right! Includes "Sake & Greens", ... LP, Vinyl record album
