Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

Jamey Aebersold/Kenny Barron

Wayne Shorter Jazz Classics – Volume 33
Jamey Aebersold, 1985. Used 2CD
Pretty great – four sides of Wayne Shorter tunes, played by a trio with Kenny Barron on piano, Ron Carter on bass, and Adam Nussbaum on drums. CD
Prestige/OJC, 1956. Used
An early pairing of Miles Davis & John Coltrane – one of the duo's mid 50s classics for Prestige, as you might guess from the verb in the title! And although "Steamin" might be a word that's a bit too firey to describe the action going on here, the album's got a tremendous ... CD

Epic (Canada), Late 80s/Early 90s. Used
Has there ever been anyone as lovely as Sade? We think not – and from the time she first hit our ears in the 80s, it was the start of an instant love affair that's continued for decades! Sade really brought something new to music at the time – a return to older styles of acoustic and ... CD

Prince

Black Album
Warner, 1987. Used
Recorded in 1987, but never officially released until 1994, when Prince was trying to get out of his Warners contract. Prince's attempt to return to his more funky side after flirting with more straight pop songs was a Holy Grail amongst collectors for a time, and though we don't like it as much ... CD

Massive! By now, the 2 volumes in Soul Jazz's Nu Yorica series are among some of the most legendary Latin titles we've ever stocked – and this incredible "prequel" to the series is every bit as essential! As the title indicates, the compilation digs back into the early days of the ... CD
