Dark Matter – Alternative Liberty/UA Years 1970 to 1974

LP (Item 915025) Parlophone/Liberty/United Artists, Early 70s — Condition: Sealed
2LP Gatefold (reissue)

A soaring batch of rare tracks from the early years of Hawkwind – unissued titles and unusual versions – all of which stand strongly next to the work on their classic albums from the time! Titles include "Be Yourself (alt mix)", "Hog Farm", "Seven By Seven (alt voc mix)", "Kiss Of The Velvet Whip (1971 version)", "The Reason Is (alt version)", "You Know You're Only Dreaming (1970 version)", "Brainbox Pollutions (full length version)", "Take What You Can", "It's So Easy (orig studio version)", "Wind Of Change (alt version)", and "You'd Better Believe It (Rockfield Studios version)".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A real shift in sound for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band – as the group drop the "nitty gritty" for their name, and go for a well-rounded sound that shows off their songwriting in a very different way!
