If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
80s keyboards sparkle and glisten wonderfully here – a mix of Roland, Yamaha, and Korg keyboards – all played by Mikolaj Hertel in a few very cool suites of instrumental tunes! The music is maybe an extension of 70s electronic sound library modes, but also colored with some of the ... CD
Incredible! We know you must be sick of hearing us rave about all of the great funky music from Italy in the 70's, but hear us out, and hear this one out especially! Marc 4 were one of the best bands of the Italian scene, and they were a bit more musically talented, with heavier jazz chops, than ... CD
A gem of a record from the great Piero Umiliani – and maybe one of his funkiest, grooviest projects ever! The set is more sound library funk than soundtrack – and features some very strong keyboard work in the lead on most track – including Fender Rhodes, moog, Hammond, and even ... CD
One of the many lost Hiero efforts on Jive. Like other early Hiero LPs this one's got nice jazzy Bay area beats and is still filled with some of the energy that they seemed to lose a bit of before their indie renaissance in the late 90s. 14 tracks counting the intro, including "Brown ... CD
An overstuffed collection of Patti's solo work – featuring 29 tracks pulled mostly from her early 80s stint at Philadelphia International Records, plus a few tracks from her earlier Epic recordings, and one or two bits from later years! The bulk of the set has a sweet modern Gamble & ... CD
2 more classics from the Four Tops – back to back, for a total of 23 tracks in all! Yesterday's Dreams is a simple mix of pop and soul – but in the hands of the Four Tops, just about any song takes on a new soulful life! The record features their minor hit "Yesterday's ... CD
One of the last in a legendary run of albums that Stanley Clarke cut for Columbia records in the 70s and 80s – and a set that follows his genre-shifting approach to funky jazz wonderfully! Most numbers have small groupings of players – with Gerry Brown's drums often at the core – ... CD
