This Is Soul (A&M)

LP (Item 904557) A&M (Japan), Late 60s — Condition: Very Good+
Originally: 19.99
An excellent Japanese-only collection of rare soul singles on A&M Records – with some mighty obscure work in the lineup! Includes the fantastic "Are You Lonely" and "And This Is Love" by Sisters Love – plus "You're The Violin" by Rosey Grier, "The Next Best Thing" by Carl Graves, "Serene Coleen" by Ray Kennedy, "Look At You Look At Me" by The Burgans, "Life Is Full Of Joy" by Blackberries, "With This Ring" by The Persuasions, and "Cabin Fever" by Debbie Burgan.  © 1996-2025, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Includes insert. Cover has some light wear – vinyl is nice.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Condition Notes

If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially if it is release or pressing details, or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

One of the sweetest Funkadelic albums from the middle period, and a good batch of tracks that often gets overlooked in the haze of similar Pedro Bell covers! Hotter Than July
Tamla, 1980. Very Good+ Gatefold
A bit smoother than early days, but still very nice and soulful – and did we expect any less from Stevie?
