If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
One of Milton Nascimento's darker LPs, with a great set of tracks that have a deep rock feel to them, yet which maintain all of the soulful spirit that was in Nascimento's earlier recordings. Nascimento's working here with a great set of musicians that include some of Brazil's most farthest-reachin ... CD
Japanese "40th Anniversary of Bossa Nova" release that reissues this classic early set of tracks by the Brazilian guitar genius Luiz Bonfa. The material's not necessarily bossa nova, but it's got a lot of the lightness and breeziness that made Bonfa's playing a huge inspiration for the ... CD
A beautiful set of duets from 60s samba stars Elizeth Cardoso and Ciro Monteiro – released in collaboration with the Bossaudade TV show! The sound here is light and lively – with backing from Caculinha and his combo, who mix together acoustic samba rhythms with a nice touch of electric ... CD
An incredible CD that combines 2 of Joyce's best-ever albums! Both albums feature Joyce in a setting that's spare and stripped-down – yet still quite grooving, with a sublime mix of acoustic guitar, tight rhythms, and lovely vocals from Joyce herself! The production is amazing – with ... CD
Not to be confused with the Blue Brazil compilation on Blue Note – although quite similar to it – this is a similar batch of tracks that features lost Brazilian gems pulled from the catalog of the EMI/Odeon label, home to some of Brazil's best music of the 60's and 70's. The CD's got ... CD
A very groovy group from Brazil – swinging with a mixed male/female harmony sound that's a lot like the Swingle Singers! Unlike the Swingles, though, Quarteto Forma sing pop hits of their day – both American and Brazilian ones – in a dreamy, jazzy, easy, and floating style that's ... CD
The start of an amazing legacy in Brazilian music – and a record that really lives up to its title! Jorge Ben completely reinvents the samba here – and comes up with his own new groove in the process – by blending sharp acoustic guitar lines with rootsy percussion – all at ... CD
