This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Funky breaking madness! Nice 12" single of Herbie's big hit cut with Bill Laswell – which sounds surprisingly better today than it did back in 1983. Lots of nice early electro keyboards – and some nice scratching from Grandmaster D St! 12-inch, Vinyl record
2 excellent club tracks from this Miami soul artist! The best one here is "Get On Down", which features some totally cool bubbly moog sounds, mixed with hard conga beats, in a style that really sounds great! 12-inch, Vinyl record
Three female singers/MC's with backing by the Sugarhill Gang Band – and rhymes that sound like they might have been written by the Sugarhill Gang. Maybe it's not up to the standards of other early female MC's like Sha Rock of the Funky 4 +1, but this is more like a 1979-era slow-tempo ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
No stomping here, and instead a sweetly soaring groove – very much in the best Brothers Johnson mode! Quincy Jones produced, and the track is a great one from the Light Up The Night album – bouncing, soulful, and with a great boogie bottom – topped off with some nice basswork and ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
"Computer Game" is one of the best early singles from this famous Japanese combo. The cut's got plenty of electronics, as expected, but it's also got a wonderfully soulful groove – with some Barry White-esque strings that provide a nice degree of warmth, and help the cut hit a ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
A wicked little track that's a real classic from the electro years – a tune that vamps along with great bass and keyboards, but which also features some soulful vocals over the top alongside the electronics! The tune's got a hook that just won't quit – and a groove that's perfect for a ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
A fantastic electro classic! "Warm Leatherette" is one of those amazing historical tracks that never dates – a darkly grooving late 70s club number that takes all the electronics of Kraftwerk, and focuses them into a dark agenda that still sends chills down our spine! 12-inch, Vinyl record
