Hilli (At The Top Of The World)/Leather & Lace

7-inch (Item 884761) Blaskjar, 2008 — Condition: Sealed
(pic cover)

(Limited edition #1293.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A great funky instrumental, with lots of moog in it – a little like "Popcorn", but funkier! "Pinch Of Salt" is pretty nice too – uptempo and instrumental, with a nice dose of organ! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Sublime stuff! "I Don't Know" is a great deep soul harmony cut – rolling into a midtempo groove from the intro like a rare Stax gem, with some great guitar and organ riffing along with the vocals, which are sung in a mode that's raspy and sweet at the same time! "Look What ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
Amherst, 1976. Near Mint-
2 of our favorite sides of the 70s collide as one – in this very cool little single that's part-disco funk, part-CB story! The track's got some "Convoy"-like spoken parts at the beginning, talking over a CB about Soul Dog moving up the road – and then it spins into a rumbling ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
