Great stuff from Bobby Darin – maybe one of our favorite Atlantic albums from the singer, and a set that really follows up the strongly jazzy vibe of his Love Swings classic! Arrangements are by Torrie Zito and Bobby Scott – both talents who were really coming into their own at the time, and who help give Darin a mature setting that goes way beyond the pop sounds of his earliest years – backings that are rich in feeling, but also swinging too, even on the ballad numbers – which creates a great flow in Bobby's vocals! Titles include "It's You Or No One", "All Or Nothing At All", "I'll Be Around", "How About Me", "All I Do Is Cry", and "Only One Little Item".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Diabolo, 1967. Used
One of the albums from Bobby D's confused period in the mid 60s! Sounds sort of goofy, but it actually works, thanks to some swinging arrangements by Roger Kellaway, and the pep and zip of the score. Plus, the cover's got Bobby leaning on a push me-pull me, with a doctor's bag and a big stovepipe ... CD

Darin At The Copa
Atco, 1960. Used
Bobby proves himself to be the consummate entertainer in this great live set recorded in the early 60s! This was the only live album Bobby ever cut during these days, and it's an excellent document of the kind of rolling kitschy style he used in a show – a style that was later copped to a ... CD

2 Atlantic sessions from Mose – back to back on one CD! I Don't Worry is one of Mose's first albums for Atlantic – a great set of soulful jazz vocals, done in a rootsy style that has some slight New Orleans touches – and a nice sort of beat undercurrent! The sound of the set ... CD

A great return to form for vocalist Earl Coleman – a singer who'd recorded earlier in the bop years, but who makes a rare 60s appearance here on a soulful set for Atlantic Records! Coleman's got a rich voice that's somewhere between Johnny Hartman and Billy Eckstine – with a great ... CD
