A great pairing of the voice of Barbara Morrison and tenor of Houston Person – brought together here in a way that's similar to many of the excellent sessions that Person cut with Etta Jones over the years! Morrison's a different sort of singer, though – which makes for a nice sort of change – a vocalist who can hit a deeper range, but also balance that with a sense of class that we totally love – almost as if she's a more soul jazz version of Nancy Wilson, which makes her a great match for Houston's tenor.
