Lost Without Your Love

LP (Item 858927) Elektra, 1977 — Condition: Near Mint-
Gatefold
The last album in the legendary 70s run of Bread – and a set that was a bit of a comeback, given that the group had briefly disbanded before it was recorded! Yet as before, the mighty David Gates is still at the helm of the ship – penning loads of great songs alongside James Griffin, the group's other vocalist and songwriter – and giving the whole thing his classic touch in the studio, in ways that show a bit of an ear for some of the changes that were taking place in adult contemporary music in the years since the group had been started – maybe a bit more subtle drama, and a few less folksy elements than before. All the best Bread elements are still very strongly in place – and titles include "Change Of Heart", "Hooked On You", "She's The Only One", "Lost Without Your Love", "Fly Away", "Belonging", "The Chosen One", "Hold Tight", and "Today's The First Day".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Elektra, 1967. Near Mint- Gatefold
Easily one of our favorite albums by Tim Buckley – and a record that really opens up with some key jazzy touches! Buckley's still got his roots in folk here, and his vocals are yet to hit the extremes of Starsailor or Lorca – but there's also a new sense of inflection to the way he ... LP, Vinyl record album

Love
Elektra, 1966. Very Good+
Love's first album – a seminal bit of Sunset Strip rock, and every bit as powerful today as it was in the 60s! The style's a bit sharper-edged than the group's classic and more familiar Forever Changes set, but it's still pretty darn great – a completely fresh batch of guitar-heavy ... LP, Vinyl record album

Elektra, 1972. Very Good+
A really striking album in the career of Atomic Rooster – one that's a little bit groovier than most, and maybe a bit funky as well!
