20 Explosive TV Themes

LP (Item 858731) Music For Pleasure (UK), 1978 — Condition: Very Good+
(€5.03 || £4.44 || ¥671) (approx.)

Lots of groovy TV instrumentals here – including themes from Kojak, Hawaii Five O, Poldark, Soap, Charlie's Angels, The Sweeney, Match Of The Day, and Starsky & Hutch! (Cover has light wear.)  © 1996-2017, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Storm & The Sea – Sounds For Love
Warner, 1974. Very Good+
Warner Brothers' answer to the Environments series – a full set of "sounds for love", that is, water sounds, with one side of ocean noises (The Sea), and one side of a rain storm (The Storm). Uni, 1971. Very Good
This is one of Mort Garson's craziest moog records ever, or as the label says: "Moog Goes Supernatural with Eerie Electronics". Ostensibly a satanic sort of thing, this is actually a wild cool mix of moog and early synthesizer effects, over a bunch of original compositions with no sorts ... LP, Vinyl record album
Strings Aflame
RCA, 1959. Very Good
Despite the "strings" in the title, this one actually swings quite well, and has a bit of an exotic gypsy flavor to it, augmented by cool spacey production that makes the strings hum with a strange other-worldly tonality. The set's filled with the usual crazy Esquivel arrangements, and ... LP, Vinyl record album

CTI/A&M, 1968. Very Good Gatefold
An excellent little groover from that great period where CTI was affiliated with A&M, this record is the kind of pop/jazz/easy listening crossover stuff that's been such a hit with the loungecore fans over the years. Let's Do It Again
Curtom, 1975. Very Good+
Probably the best record the Staple Singers ever cut during the 70s – as it makes a genius move by taking their rich vocal style and laying it over some excellent tracks written by Curtis Mayfield!
