60 Count Box of Random Bulk Vinyl

LP (Item 843809) ,  — Condition: Good

A completely random assortment of 12" records – both LPs and singles – some in good shape, some totally beat up! We make these boxes at random, and seal them tightly – and even we don't know what's in them. Keep in mind that this vinyl has been through the regular racks – and the Bargain Basement – and some of it might have defects, some may have damaged covers, and the vinyl will mostly likely be a mix of 12" singles and full albums. Think of the contents as "raw material" or "space fillers" – vinyl to be used for projects, decorations, or even things like art installations or set dressing. At less than a dime a record, the price is certainly right! (Given the nature of these bulk vinyl records, they cannot be returned. All sales are final.)  © 1996-2018, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Good

  • A record that you'd buy to play, cheap, but which you wouldn't buy for collecting.
  • Will have marks across all parts of the playing surface, and will most likely play with surface noise throughout. May have some other significant flaws, such as residue, or a track that skips.
  • In most cases, a poor quality copy of a very difficult to find record.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Verve, 1967. Near Mint- Gatefold
An amazingly seductive album from Stan Getz! The record features Getz's tenor blowing breezily away, amidst sophisticated arrangements with touches of dark easy scoring, post-bossa Brazilian writing, and early CTI production. Claus Ogerman arranged the whole set, and the overall feel is very ... LP, Vinyl record album

Blue Note, 1965. Very Good+
One of Hank's most solid sessions from the mid 60's – recorded with a hard-biting lineup that has Lee Morgan, Harold Mabern, and Larry Ridley – coming together under Mobley's expansive style of the time! The record's a key turning point in his career – as Hank moves from a ... LP, Vinyl record album

Blue Note (Japan), 1964. Near Mint-
One of those excellent Japanese-only releases of lost Blue Note recordings from the classic years. This LP only release came out in the early 80's, and it features material recorded by Blakey with the classic Lee Morgan/Wayne Shorter/Bobby Timmons lineup of the early 60's, plus one more track ... Capitol, Mid 50s. Near Mint-
A near-perfect session of 50s Sinatra – upbeat, lively, and with an undeniable punch that completely transforms every tune! Warner, 1976. Very Good Gatefold
One of the sweetest Funkadelic albums from the middle period, and a good batch of tracks that often gets overlooked in the haze of similar Pedro Bell covers! Don't miss this one, though – because it is a very strong album – key in the shift from more guitar-based funk to more groove-ori ... LP, Vinyl record album

Impulse, 1961. Near Mint- Gatefold
The harder of the two Gil Evans albums on Impulse to find, and the best – really far-reaching material that has Evans coming into contact with some of the hippest jazz players of his generation!
