If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
Sublime work from Piero Piccioni – a really Morricone-like soundtrack, and one that's filled with hauntingly beautiful melodies! There's a lightly gliding feel to the record that's really wonderful – light lines on organ, topped with wordless vocals from Edda Dell'Orso and I Cantori ... CD
Did filmmaking ever get any better than this? We'd be hard pressed to think so – what with Michael York and Farrah Fawcett-Majors running around in the future, living in a hedonistic world in which you can have anything you want, until you turn 30, and are executed! Great stuff – and ... CD
The lovely and late Edie Sedgwick is the cover draw on the record and movie – but the music within is maybe an even more interesting blend of sounds, and very different than what you might expect to come from the famous star of Andy Warhol's Factory scene! Some of the music here is by Gino ... CD
An excellent soundtrack to this early 70s thriller that starred George C Scott! Jerry Goldsmith with some strong action themes that are very much in a Lalo Schifrin mode – mixing guitar, electric harpsichord, and strings with a harder-edged groove so that there's a lot of space in the ... CD
A sweet little set that's every bit as wonderful as its cover – an obscure slinky sex score from the Italian scene of the 70s – and one that's got some key funky moments, too! Music is billed to the Blue Marvin Orchestra, but written by maestro Alberto Baldan Bembo – and the ... CD
An amazing side of the many talents of Michel Legrand – his more serious compositional work, presented here in two different concertos – with some surprisingly fantastic piano by the composer himself! You'll know Legrand best for his famous soundtrack material of the 60s and 70s – ... CD
Two great Ann Margret soundtracks back to back on a single CD! The Swinger is Ann-Margret at her grooviest – singing the super-groovy theme from The Swinger – perhaps her greatest film appearance ever! There's a mod bounce to the album that goes way way beyond any of Ann's other ... CD
A killer soundtrack from Kenyon Hopkins – a composer we can almost always trust to turn around a killer jazz score! The work is mostly in a jazz ensemble mode – and moves between swinging segments, and sadder ones – those beautifully blue passages that Hopkins did so well in the ... CD
Francesco De Masi did the score for this Italian adventure film that sounds a bit like Rambo 2, and which stars agent Thunder fighting against a group of ex-Vietnam paramilitary thugs. Despite that plot, though, the score is actually a beautiful score with lots of subtle, gentle moments in the ... CD
