$16.99 ...

LP, Vinyl record album

(€15.88 || £13.17 || ¥1843) (approx.)

(Black vinyl pressing, still in the shrink, with hype sticker.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Second Album
Motown, 1974. Very Good+
The second album by this obscure rock group who briefly recorded for Motown – and a really great record with some wonderful moments! Puzzle have some nice jazzy touches on their best numbers – slightly funky, and slightly in the jazz-rock mode of groups that were coming out of the UK ... LP, Vinyl record album

Early genius from the Talking Heads – a set that's got a much sparer sound than most of their later work, and a surprisingly groovy feel overall! The starkness of the group's debut is still very much in place – lots of tight interplay between bass and guitar – but the rhythms are ... LP, Vinyl record album

My god, what a record! This one's genius through and through – a set that sometimes gets eclipsed in the brilliance to come, but which is easily one of our favorites ever by Steely Dan! A very cool bit of spacey grooves – with a sound that's right up there with some of the leaner groovs of the Cosmic club scene! Steely Dan really hitting the heights – moving into hipper, more sophisticated territory than before – pushing the envelope with both their music and lyrics, which are completely sublime! Blue Cheer
Philips, 1969. Very Good-
Another dose of ridiculous bluesy heaviness from Blue Cheer, without as much bluster as their first couple of albums, but the same bloated appeal. 10 numbers in all, including "Fool", "You're Gonna Need Someone", 'Hello LA, Bye Bye Birmingham", "Saturday Freedom" ... LP, Vinyl record album
Catherine Wheel
Sire, 1982. Very Good
A rare bit of David Byrne from the best years of the Talking Heads – tunes commissioned by Twyla Tharp for an offbeat piece of dance entitled The Catherine Wheel.
