This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A masterpiece from the legendary SF rocker Steve Miller – and a perfect summation of the years of blues, soul, funk, and rock he'd been soaking up in the Bay Area scene – served up here with an edge that's still very firmly in place! Miller was already plenty great before this set, but ... LP, Vinyl record album
The sweet second album from If – a Brit jazz-rock combo with a really great sound! The album was produced by Lew Futterman, the talent behind some of Jack McDuff's large-arrangement albums for Blue Note – and Lew seems to bring in a similar ambitious feel to the set that really brings ... A late 60s studio folk gem from John Stewart – best known as a writer, having penned material for the Kingston Trio and "Daydream Believer" for the Monkees – stepping forward really well with this unfussy, but fairly impeccable set for Capitol! It was recorded in Nashville ... LP, Vinyl record album
Not as guitarry or AM-pop heavy as the group's earlier classics, but still a pretty nice little record nonetheless – filled with the kind of playful McCartney tunes that we've always loved, and carried off with an undeniable charm. Includes the hit "With A Little Luck", plus "F ... LP, Vinyl record album
One that we heard way too much when it was out, but which we kind of love now! The album's part of H&O's great comeback years in the early 80s – a time when they were mixing their white boy soul with some nice 80s groove and electro touches, often going for a spare mix of groove and ... The end of the road for the Velvet Underground – but a set that's also one of the group's best-remembered albums too! The record marked a big shift for the group – a move to Atco from Verve, continuing to work without John Cale – and the sound is possibly more rockish and ... LP, Vinyl record album
