Come Close Remix (main, inst, acapella)/Hustle (clean, inst)/Aquarius (clean, inst)

12-inch (Item 83077) MCA, 2003 — Condition: Very Good+
Out Of Stock

12-inch, Vinyl record

Nice!!! Common's first single off of Electric Circus, "Come Close To Me" didn't set the charts ablaze the way Universal surely hoped it would have, and whether that inspired this J-Dilla remix with Erykah Badu instead of Mary J Blige – plus Q Tip and Pharrell (whose Neptunes produced the original version) – is a mystery to us, but certainly a welcome one! As you'd expect, Badu effects the track in a deeper soul style than latter day street soul diva Blige did – and the Jay Dee vibe certainly fits better with the way Brother Com flows on the full length! The LP tracks "Hustle" featuring Omar and Dart Chillz, and "Aquarius" with backing vocals by Bilal also appear.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
