Release Yourself (original, dub)

12-inch (Item 82849) Nia, 1984 — Condition: Near Mint-
$24.99 ...

12-inch, Vinyl record

(€23.58 || £19.83 || ¥2803) (approx.)

A nice electro disco number from the Aleem brothers, with a dub mix by Marley Marl on the b-side.  © 1996-2017, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

The great electro classic – and one that will make you pop so much your shoulders will get sore! The single features the long "Din Daa Daa remix" – with lots of nice parts that drop out, and have the chorus popping out with great isolated sound. Also features the dub mix, ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Early work from Detroit techno legend Juan Atkins! The single features some rare pre-Fantasy work from Atkins – an early take on "Cosmic Cars", and the more grooving "The Line". "Cars" has a cold, stark electronic feel – and "The Line" still has ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

A great bit of boogie on Dakar – one of the latest singles we've ever seen on the label, and a unique effort from Charlie Singleton and the wonderfully-named Stargasm! Obscure mid 80s work by The Whatnauts – recorded after "Help is On The Way". The first two tracks are more in an 80s groove/funk mode – not really the best style for the group – but the cut "All I Need" is really a gem! The track's a smooth mellow love song ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
