There's nothing like the sound of Go Go music at its best – a long-spinning, hard-jamming approach to funk – one that borrows a few currents from hip hop, especially in the vocals – but which also stands as an exceptionally local extension of the funk ensemble sound of the 70s! Go Go had a brief run on the Washington DC scene of the early 80s – where these groups made some real magic for a short time – a newly-electrified version of funk, but one that still embraced the live, spontaneous way of putting tunes together that was pioneered by groups like The JBs or Kool & The Gang. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
