In Visible Silence

LP (Item 82677) Chrysalis, 1986 — Condition: Very Good

Not as sublime as their first LP, but still a nice batch of modern pop sound collage. More traditional song structures are poking through the cool po-mo facade here. With "Opus 4", "Eye Of A Needle", "Backbeat", "Instruments Of Darkness", "Peter Gunn" and "Beatback".  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover is still in the original shrinkwrap, with a hype sticker. Includes the printed inner sleeve.)

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Warner, 1982. Sealed
Bootsy Collins steps strongly from the shadow of George Clinton here – and wrote, arranged, and produced most of the album himself! Sweet & Sour Tears
ABC, 1964. Near Mint-
Easily one of the best Ray Charles albums on ABC – if not one of the best Ray Charles albums of all-time. Ray's in his C&W mode here, but it's a bit more restrained than on other LPs, and is replaced here by a sophisticated style that works perfectly with his heartbreaking voice. Proof ... Macho

I'm A Man
Prelude, 1978. Near Mint-
Given the West Village cruising cover image, the group's making no bones about their affiliation here – remaking Traffic's "I'm A Man" into a gay club anthem for the late 70s scene! The tune takes up all of side one, and rolls along with a pulsating bassline that's certainly disco, ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of the funkiest albums ever from Junior Parker – a great little set that shows he had a lot more to offer than just the average bluesman! The second and arguably best Stooges album – and one of the most influential rock albums ever! A sweet bit of soft rock from 70s Israel – sung by a group who we loved from the first time we heard their name!
