If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
Fantastic! This lost late-60s album by Marcos Valle is a real treasure, and it offers a musical bridge between his earlier bossa nova material, and his later, more experimental work! The production is beautifully baroque, with a feel that's similar to some of the early albums by Milton Nascimento ... CD
One of the earliest of the classic Verve bossa nova sessions of the 60s – and a wonderful showcase for the talents of guitarist Luiz Bonfa! Most of Bonfa's previous recordings were done in a very spare or solo mode – and this set makes a nice change by adding in some larger ... CD
A great later album by Jobim – one that has him working with "the new band", which includes younger talents like Danilo Caymmi on flute and vocals, Sebastiao Neto on bass, Jacques Morelen baum on cello, and Paulo Jobim on guitar and vocals. Jobim's voice is wonderfully aged and ... CD
One of the richest, most expressive albums ever from the great Gal Costa – a set from her immediate post-Tropicalia years, and one that shows that she's got a lot more to offer than just a wild sense of experimentation! Gilberto Gil is the musical director here – with help from Rogerio ... CD
A landmark session from the great Baden Powell – a record that completely transformed the sound of his music, and showed the world he had much deeper talents than just simple bossa guitar! The session was done in collaboration with poet Vinicius De Moraes, with additional vocals from ... CD
A later album by Joao – but a really lovely live performance that sparkles with the warmth and intimacy of his earlier studio albums! The album's got a total of 13 tracks, all recorded at the Montreux jazz festival in 1985 – with no backing for Joao's voice other than his light lively ... CD
An incredible box set – one that features the first 13 albums by Nara Leao, plus a bonus disc of rare material from the late 60s and early 70s! The set's got a total of 15 CDs in all (one album is a 2 disc set), packaged with a slim book on her work, and featuring all original artwork of the ... CD
Early bossa magic from Deodato – cut years before his electric fusion albums in the 70s! This little gem shows Deodato to be quite the arranger – working in a small combo mode that mixes percussion, guitars, and horns with his own sweet piano and organ licks – grooving in a ... CD
A wonderful 70s session from bossa legend Lyra, and a set that's got a different sound than some of his earlier work – but one that's still plenty great overall! The mode is a bit more subdued than before – still with bossa at the roots, but also production and instrumentation that nod ... CD
