A great little set from T-Bone – recorded at the end of the 60s, with a lineup that includes other blues musicians like Joe Turner, Otis Spann, and George Harmonica Smith, plus jazz funk players like Paul Humphrey and Ernie Watts! The vibe is very laidback – and most tracks on the album stretch out in an extended free-form style that's quite unusual compared to T-Bone's other records. As usual, his guitar and vocals are very soulful – and titles include "Paris Blues", "Blues Jam", and "Jot's Blues". A real gem on Flying Dutchman/Bluestime. (Cover has light wear and a cutout notch.)  © 1996-2015, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Duke, Mid 60s. Very Good-
One of the fantastic Duke LPs by Bobby Bland from the early 60's, with a rootsy southern soul sound that prefaces later sounds to come out of Stax and Muscle Shoals. Includes the great cut "You're The One (That I Adore)", plus "You're Worth It All", "Your Friends", ... LP, Vinyl record album

A mad bit of music from the great Bo Diddley – recorded after his early 70s funk records on Chess – but with a similar genre-tripping style! Checker, 1960. Near Mint-
Have guitar, will travel – and back in the day, Bo Diddley was going pretty darn far with great material like this!
