We use the all-encompassing grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can
request a return
for a full refund.
Condition Notes
If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially
if it is release or packaging details,
or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the CD.
This might include, but isn't limited to, scratches, tracks that skip,
case/insert damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Erroll Garner takes on songs from the movies – but at a level that's way different than other 60s examples of cinematic jazz albums – and which strongly preserves the classic sound of the pianist at his best! Part of the difference is that the songs are all tunes from older movies ... CD

A wonderfully modern little record from the team of Charlie Mariano and Jerry Dodgion – a set that was originally issued with an old-timey bathing beauty cover image that obscured its fresh-voiced 50s appeal! Mariano and Dodgion work here to open up some older chestnuts from many years back ... CD
One of Stan's earliest sides as a leader – recorded for Roost Records in the early 50s, and originally issued as 10" LPs. Players include Jimmy Raney on guitar with either Horace Silver or Duke Jordan on piano, and either Leonard Gaskin and Roy Haynes or Bill Crow and Frank Isola in the ... CD
Fantastic work from Hawkins – recorded for a small label at a time when his star had fallen a bit, but with some AMAZING tone that really makes the album cook! The group's a combo that features piano and organ by Earl Knight, trumpet by Ernie Royal, trombone by Eddie Bert, and guitar by ... CD
A really great record from pianist Billy Taylor – much more hard-swinging than his 50s trio records, and done same time as Argo's famous hard swing sets by Paul Gonsalves, Jimmy Woode, and Clark Terry – possibly even during the same sessions, as they all seem to overlap personnel and ... CD
