We use the all-encompassing grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can
request a return
for a full refund.
Condition Notes
If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially
if it is release or packaging details,
or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the CD.
This might include, but isn't limited to, scratches, tracks that skip,
case/insert damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of Astrud Gilberto's greatest albums of the 60s – a classic session produced for Verve by Creed Taylor, and featuring sweet gentle arrangements from Marty Paich, co-arranged with Antonio Carlos Jobim, who also plays guitar on the session next to the piano of Joao Donato! That's a ... CD
Maybe the most obscure album from Batida – a European combo from the 80s, and one with a strong specialty in Brazilian jazz! The vibe is nice and breezy at times, with a good mix of electric and acoustic elements that's like some of the similar 80s albums on the great Nabel label from ... CD
Tremendously beautiful work from one of our favorite-ever artists – performing here in a genre unto itself! We've always loved Seu Jorge's own work – the funky samba tunes and mellower guitar work that have made him one of the most exciting talents from Brazil in recent years – ... CD
Early work from Doris Monteiro – a set that's much more bossa-oriented than some of her later work – and recorded in the brilliant style of the Elenco label, with backings by Hammond genius Walter Wanderley! The record's got a light lively style – with Walter's organ grooving in ... CD
Brilliant work from one of our favorite Brazilian artists ever – a singer who only seems to get better with age, and who's working here with some beautiful help from Dori Caymmi! Caymmi plays guitar and sings on a good portion of the album with Joyce – helping to flesh out the overall ... CD
Luiz Bonfa on guitar and Cafe on pecussion – plus a bit of exta guitar from Gene Bertoncini on 3 tracks. Songs include "Samba De Orfeo", "Mar Encantado", "Gentle Rain", "Sambolero", "Passeio No Rio", and "Danca India". CD
The greatest and grooviest hits from Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66 – that completely charming little group that really warmed up pop at the end of the 60s! The tunes here are awash in bossa rhythms, and topped with the group's trademark two-gal harmony style – a sound that reaches out ... CD
A fantastic collection of work by one of Brazil's greatest arrangers ever! Moacir Santos had an approach that was unlike anyone else – more complicated than Jobim, but with a gentle honesty that made any style sound spontaneous in his hands. The 2CD package features new versions of work ... CD
The great Johnnie Taylor was one of the best new talents to emerge during the second chapter of Stax Records – a singer with a hell of a lot of charm, and one who was able to really fill the space left by some of the artists the label lost in 1968! Taylor's got roots in blues, which gives ... CD
