Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Paddy McAloon

I Trawl The Megahertz
Sony (UK), 2003. Used
Brilliant new work from Paddy McAloon – ex-lyricist/vocalist for Prefab Sprout, stepping out here in a set that's nearly all instrumental! The album is a masterpiece of strings and light instrumental touches – recorded as a suite of tracks based around the idea of one woman reviewing ... CD

Uncle Tupelo

Anodyne
Sire/Reprise, 1993. Used
Uncle Tupelo's excellent, unfussy, fairly timeless final album – with equally good songs written by Jay Farrar and Jeff Tweedy that sound great together even if it's pretty clear in retrospect that they were soon to split up for good. The difference between Uncle Tupelo's loud guitar ragers ... CD

There might've been a time when even the most ardent Replacements fans might not want to tell a soul how much they really dug this less raucous, more melodic record – if they even wanted to admit it to themselves – but that time has long ago passed, this one's pretty damn strong in ... CD
Sony, 2014. Used 3CDs & DVD
A pretty wonderful snapshot of the rejuvenated concert brilliance of Leonard Cohen – live in Dublin in 2013 – with the complete concert on 3CDs, plus the full set and bonus performances on DVD! Rather than simply coasting on his reputation and trotting out with a 45 minute set of hits ... CD

29 gems from one of the most fantastic groups of the 70s! CD
Sire, 1978/1979. Used
First up is Can't Stand The Rezillos – a record with guitars fast and hard enough to almost be late 70s punk rock, but which often comes off with a more playful, whimsical new wave sort of approach! Tracks are short and hook-heavy – produced by Bob Clearmountain with that razor-edged ... CD
