Used Vinyl Grades
Below are stated conditions for a used vinyl records at Dusty Groove. Grading for
the cover should be assumed to be near (within a "+" or "-")

If there is significant divergence from the condition of the vinyl, or specific flaws,
these will be noted in the comments section of the item. However, please be aware that
since the emphasis of this site is towards the music listener, our main concern is with

Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Frankie goes for the charts, but still with a very nice groove – and a deep bubbling under kind of sound that stays true to his Chicago roots! Still wish he would have used a real whistle, though! 12-inch, Vinyl record
What can we say? This is a classic! The track has a monster roller skating groove that's been sampled more than a few times over the years – but which still sounds incredible on its own! Both parts are great – and even though the single's pretty darn long, you still never want it to ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
Sublime harmony soul from Chicago – a real late bloomer of a group, and one who cut some excellent work that was much more in a sweet 70s mode! "Say I Do" starts with a spoken bit in a deep voice, then rolls into a mode that has the group trading off vocals during the verses – ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
A very catchy bit of funk from the P-Funk glory days, with a bass-heavy groove that reminds us of Bootsy Collins' best work, and the same sort of "Flashlight" groove that put them over the top. 12-inch, Vinyl record
"Hi Tension" is a slightly afro-funky number, with a good rolling groove – and kind of a choppy dancefloor sound that takes off from some of the more produced Manu Dibango work of the same time. It's mostly instrumental, but has some vocals on the chorus. "Girl I Betcha" ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
A later single from Clifton Dyson – the vocalist who headed up the wonderful Dyson's Faces group in the 70s, and who still sounds plenty great here! "I Can't Let You Go" is a bumping 80s dancefloor number – produced with a fair bit of electricity on the rhythms and keyboards, ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
"Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" is one of Tavares' biggest cuts ever – a smooth uptempo number from the mid 70s, a great AM radio groover, made even more famous as a disco cut once the Saturday Night Fever generation got a hold of it! 12-inch, Vinyl record
