Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Condition Notes
If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially
if it is release or pressing details,
or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of the better of the many posthumous albums that Savoy issued after Bird's death. The set combines master takes and alternates of classic Parker material for the label, and includes pivotal bop tracks like "Parker's Mood", "Constellation", "Donna Lee", "Billie ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of our favorite of Verve's "genius of" collections of Charlie Parker's work – largely because it includes some wonderful and oft-overlooked vocal tunes! 4 of the tracks on the set feature Bird blowing with a vocal chorus arranged by Dave Lambert – in a style that shouldn't ... LP, Vinyl record album
A nice retrospective including recordings with Max Roach, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Buddy Rich, and many more, with titles including "Kim", "Just Friends", "Au Privave", "Funky Blues", "She Rote", "Swedish Schnapps", ... LP, Vinyl record album
Charlie Parker takes on the music of Cole Porter – with results that make for some of his most classic moments at Verve! Parker's horn is as hard-bitten as always, but it's also working here in a slightly lyrical vibe – one that brings out the warmth that Charlie could have at just the ... LP, Vinyl record album
A collection of recordings from the mid to late 40s – with Clyde Hart on piano, Tiny Grimes on guitar, Jimmy Butts on bass, and Doc West on drums in 1944; with Miles Davis on tumpet, Dizzy Gillespie on piano, Curley Russell on bas, and Max Roach on drums in 1945; with Bud Powell on piano ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the best-known 50s jazz sessions from the Savoy label – a laidback classic that's a great illustration of the label's shift in modes after the early bop years! The setting here is relatively informal – with Milt Jackson as the ersatz leader, working almost in blowing session ... LP, Vinyl record album
Lee Allen, Big Jay McNeely, Hal Singer, Sam Taylor
The cover says "roots of rock n roll" – but the set features some killer tenor work from Savoy Records – late 40s sides by Paul Williams, Hal Singer, and Big Jay McNeely – a 1954 date by Lee Allen – and obscure 1961 recordings by the great Sam Taylor! LP, Vinyl record album
