This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play,
but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic,
with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a
cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner
and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay,
though probably with surface noise.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of the rare Columbia sessions from Jackie & Roy – and a set that has them cutting new small combo versions of tunes they also did in the 50s – giving them a leaner style here, and a mighty nice swing! Includes a great version of "Dahuud", "Could You Use Me", ... LP, Vinyl record album
Delightful later work – with a bit of a Brazilian twist, too! Features cuts that include "Dindi", "Samba Do Aviao", "Star Sounds", "Wheelers & Dealers", and "Crystal Illusions". LP, Vinyl record album
One of the first albums ever from the team of Jackie Caine and Roy Kral – and one of the best, too! The album's got a relaxed, open-ended approach to jazz vocals that already carries all the hallmarks of the Jackie & Roy style – wordless scatting on some tunes, playful lyrical ... One of the greatest albums ever cut by Jackie and Roy! This one captures them in the early days – right after they'd left Charlie Ventura, and were beginning to sing and pen some fantastic little jazz ditties on their own. The album features the recorded debut of Tommy Wolf, who would ... LP, Vinyl record album
The colors are rich, but gentle too – like a palette of pastels, all sung by the lovely Claudine Longet! The album's got a slightly more mature feel than some of Longet's first for A&M – great Nick DeCaro arrangements that show some of the deeper elements creeping into pop at the ... Beautiful later work from Sarah! Although it's easy to think that she "sold out" by making albums like this for Roulette – with a larger backing than before, and more of a pop feel – these albums are also incredible, and feature a sophisticated sense of interpretation we ... LP, Vinyl record album
A pretty hip album of jazz vocal numbers by Pat Thomas – made even hipper by arrangements from Claus Ogerman and Lalo Schifrin! The style of the record's a bit like Lorez Alexandria's work from the same time – part jazz, part soul, and all-solid all the way through vocally – with ... LP, Vinyl record album
The earliest work we've ever seen from Azie Mortimer – a hip album of vocal jazz tracks that predates some of her later soul material! Azie's got a really great style – lean, expressive, and with these great elements that really take her past more conventional jazz vocals – still ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great counterpart to Nancy Wilson's classic Hollywood My Way album for Capitol – and like that one, a classy set of tunes arranged and conducted by Jimmy Jones! The style is similar to Nancy's more pop-oriented work, with perhaps a bit more pause on the ballads to unlock their more ... LP, Vinyl record album
