Nancy Wilson turns her wonderfully sophisticated vocal style towards a batch of hits from Hollywood films of the 40s, 50s, and 60s – arranged and conducted by Jimmy Jones, in that classy blend of jazz and soul that suited Wilson so well in the 60s! The style is really a cut above the usual ... LP, Vinyl record album
A real sweet soul gem from Nancy! The record has her working with arrangements and production by Gene and Billy Page – who give the record a great smooth 70s soul finish, and a feel that's a lot more unified than some of her other efforts from the decade. Nancy sings some great versions of ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of Louie Prima's greatest albums ever! The set's a smoking live one, caught at Lake Tahoe, with Keely Smith and Sam Butera very firmly in tow – and the approach works wonderfully for Prima's lively swinging style. Titles include some great medleys – "Angelina/Zooma Zooma" ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of Sinatra's last great ballad albums for Capitol – a sad and dreamy batch of tunes that kicks off with the incredible "Only The Lonely" – one of those Sinatra torch songs that's so great, so sad, nobody else has ever been able to record a better version, nor have they ... Although the setting is the Cocoanut Grove, Nancy often makes us feel like she's putting over ... LP, Vinyl record album

Instead, the record nicely lifts Staton from some of the more laidback and bluesy modes of her other 50s records – into a fuller range of styles that ... LP, Vinyl record album
Nancy's in groovy late 60s pop territory here – with swinging arrangements by Oliver Nelson, and some more mellow backings by Sid Feller. The set's not Nancy's most original album – but it's also one of the things she does best: taking songs made famous by others, and giving them a ... LP, Vinyl record album
Excellent work from Gloria Lynne – and a record that has her reinventing her sound beautifully at the end of the 60s! Production on the set is by Jerry Butler and Jerry Peters, and Peters also handles the arrangements in a really great style – one that brings in a gentle groove on the ... LP, Vinyl record album
