Trumpeter Alex Sipiagin just keeps on getting better and better with each new recording – finding a way to strengthen his phrasing at the core, while reaching out to new modes of expression – almost always with a classic vibe that takes us back to the strengths of Freddie Hubbard or Art Farmer, yet without copping any of their styles at all! The music here is all original – mostly by Sipiagin, and a few by reedman David Binney – a combination of tunes that sparkle strongly right from the start, and which make use of key electric elements from guitarist Adam Rogers, whose instrument often comes in to the mix at a chromatic level that offsets the acoustic instruments in a beautiful way. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
