Busting

CD (Item 769843) Kritzerland, 1973 — Condition: Used
Out Of Stock

CD

✈
A rare soundtrack, presented here for the first time ever – with music that wasn't even presented properly in the movie Busting, an obscure cop buddy film that starred Elliot Gould and Robert Blake! Billy Goldenberg's music is a mix of familiar cop show grooves, and more sophisticated moments – balancing not just tension with action, but a few pensive, thoughtful bits that push the soundtrack way past the obvious, and give it a depth you wouldn't expect! Kritzerland have done a wonderful job with the reissue – bringing together 21 sound cues for the film, all with fresh mastering – and titles include "Nailing Rizzo", "Flowers & Drugs", "Off Beat", "Shazam", "The Restaurant", "Happy Birthday", "Busting The Club", "Home Alone", and "The Electra".  © 1996-2023, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Ennio Morricone

Corleone
Screen Trax (Italy), 1977. Used
An epic tale of deceit and power in the Sicilian town of Corleone – scored beautifully here by Ennio Morricone, at a level that prefaces some of the more sophisticated turns his music would take in years to come! There's a depth here that reminds us a lot of Morricone's great soundtrack for ... CD

Nino Rota

CAM (Italy), 1962. Used
Beautiful work by Nino Rota – filled with the kind of classic themes that distinguished his best work for Fellini. Carlo Savina conducted, and he does an excellent job with Rota's ideas – crafting them into short little packets of sound, woven tightly into little balls that pass back ... CD

A pretty straight orchestral score from Russ Garcia – but one with some small amount of weird effects, like those he was putting into some of his easy orchestral albums at the time. The overall feel is quite dark – with off-key string passages, and weirdly tuned horns used to create ... CD
