LP (Item 763598) Decca, 1960 — Condition: Very Good+
An album that's worth it almost for the cover alone – as it features Ernest Tubb standing in his famous record store in Nashville, with a range of Decca classic country albums behind him! But the set's also got great material from his later years with the Texas Troubadours – titles that include "Why I'm Walkin", "A Guy Named Joe", "Do It Now", "You Win Again", "Mister Blues", "He'll Have To Go", and "Pick Me Up On Your Way Down".  © 1996-2025, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Mono pressing. Cover has a tiny mark from an old sticker in one corner – but this is a great copy.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Condition Notes

If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially if it is release or pressing details, or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Fallen Angel

One of Webb's greatest LPs for Decca! The trailblazing, rebellious streak that Pierce burned in the 50s had pretty much subsided by this point, and the sound became more polished.
