(€12.81 || £11.44 || ¥1662) (approx.)

A really obscure album for Diz – making a rare appearance here on Atlantic Records! The LP features short tracks in a very playful boppish mode – typical of the populist Diz of the early 50s, of whom we have no complaints! Titles include "Just Blues", "Moon Nocturne", "Blues Chante", "Just One More Chance", and "Sa Blu E Be Blues". (Yellow label Atlantic pressing. Cover has moderate wear, with aged clear tape along all seams. Vinyl plays with some clicks & crackles.)  © 1996-2017, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Good

  • A record that you'd buy to play, cheap, but which you wouldn't buy for collecting.
  • Will have marks across all parts of the playing surface, and will most likely play with surface noise throughout. May have some other significant flaws, such as residue, or a track that skips.
  • In most cases, a poor quality copy of a very difficult to find record.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A pretty groovy record – very different than lots of Dizzy's other work! A fantastic bit of late 60's funk, and a surprisingly slammin' record from Dizzy! While actually not as electrifying as some of Dizzy's other albums from the time, this one's still pretty darn great, and features his great group with Leo Wright on alto and Lalo Schfrin on piano.
