Sweetheart (12" mix, dub, bonus beats, acapella)

12-inch (Item 756787) Supertronics, 1986 — Condition: Very Good+

(In a Supertronics sleeve.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Classic 12" version of this one! "Oh Honey" is a killer, with a great spacey soul sound, and a monster sample on the intro. This version is 6 minutes long – a real treat! 12-inch, Vinyl record

A certified 80s groove/slow jam classic, and one of our all time Mtume favorites, from the period where he'd really established himself as a force to be reckoned with in commercial soul production! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Early, early Lil Louis with a much more Euro-electro sound than his more soulful later work, but nice and raw, with a vibe that bridges the gap between the Chicago and Detroit sounds of the day. 12-inch, Vinyl record

Very nice 12" single that features 2 hard-to-find mixes of this First Choice club classic! Norman Harris produced and arranged, and Shep Pettibone did the remixes! 12-inch, Vinyl record

A great little groove from Melba Moore – one with a wicked bass bit on the intro – just ripe and waiting for someone to snatch up and sample! The cut's got plenty going on instrumentally, even before the vocals – a wonderful bit of old school funk that Melba makes even better ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Original pressing of "Boogie Down Bronx", one of the first hip hop tracks about The Bronx, and the early electro classic that Newcleus copied the bassline, drums and vocoder sound from on "Jam On It". The production almost sounds as if this could be a mid 80s Arthur Baker cut. 12-inch, Vinyl record
