The legendary mid 80s record by Marvin Sease, later to be slightly altered and re-released as his self-titled major label debut – but the version on the Early label has always been incredibly rare! Sease has roots in southern soul and gospel, but he's better remembered in some circles for going dirty, thanks to raunchy underground hits like "Candy Licker" – which is a little bit unfortunate, given the depth of genuine soul on display here, and on many of his other excellent, less "blue" recordings. Sease wrote, arranged and produced the album himself, and it's timeless stuff – steeped in warm, old school southern soul – which is all the more rewarding, given the mid 80s period. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
