CD

The best from The Band in years – their first all originals studio effort in a few years, and one that deservedly re-established them creatively, if not commercially, as one of the all time great rock bands! Robbie Robertson is solely credited for the compositions, but make no mistake, this record is by The Band – not just notes committed to a page and played – it's a fluid, intuitive and timeless album that we love nearly as much as anything they'd ever done – possibly as much as Big Pink or self-titled, even more on some days. Essential! Titles include "Rags & Bones", "Acadian Driftwood", "Hobo Jungle", "Ophelia", "Ring Your Bell", Jupiter Hollow" and "It Makes No Difference".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Numbered, limited edition Hybrid Super Audio CD pressing!)

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

The Cocteau Twins have definitely tightened up their sound a bit here since their early days on 4AD – but the group have also held onto everything that's great about their music, and, at some level, use the album as an answer to all of the other groups at the time who were messing about in ... CD

A rootsy rock classic from Seatrain – a group who maybe aren't as well-remembered these days as they should be – but who set off a lot of fires with this set! The group work in territory that's close to The Band or Little Feat – and in fact they cover a song by the latter at once ... CD
