(In a Capitol sleeve, with a name in pen on both sides. Labels have a name in pen.)
Near Mint - (minus)
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
"Le Spank" is probably the most successful track ever by this Rinder/Lewis side project – and for good reason, too! The cut's got a cool moogy groove that pops across the top nicely, a bit sparer than the rest of its disco contemporaries, and with a catchiness that's undeniable! ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
"Cheaters" is a fantastic club track – with great east coast Baker-Harris-Young production, great harmonies, and a groove that's half harmony soul and half disco! This 12" single features extended disco mixes of both tracks, too! 12-inch, Vinyl record
What can we say? "Ring My Bell" was one of the biggest crossover disco tracks of the late 70s – with a cool electronic groove on the beat, and lyrics and production by Frederick Knight, making the southern soul singer one of the more unlikely disco forces of the time. This 12" ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
One of the crowning moments in the career of Geraldine Hunt – a massive club number with a really righteous groove! "Can't Fake The Feeling" starts with a slower, stomping sort of groove – almost pre-house – then Geraldine works in the vocals with a really majestic ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
A split single from War, and lead singer Lonnie Jordan. "Galaxy" is a later funky classic by the group – strutting out with some sweet funky riffing, ensemble vocals, and a powerful groove that's always been a dancefloor pleaser! "Junkie To My Music" has a syncopated ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
"Ooh ooh. . .Let's all chant!" A roller disco classic! Break out your whistle, sweatbands and terri cloth shorts and go to work with this throwback to the late 70s! 12-inch, Vinyl record
