Let's All Sing With The Chipmunks

LP (Item 731012) Liberty, Late 50s — Condition: Very Good
Great early work from Dave Seville and the chipmunks – with versions of "Alvin's Harmonica" and "The Chipmunk Song" – plus some other goodies too!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Red vinyl pressing in the foil cover, with light surface wear.)

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Come On & Zoom!
A&M, Early 70s. Near Mint- Gatefold
Ok, ok, we'll admit it! When we were kids, we totally dug this hippy-dippy show and all of its insider jokes, games, and languages. Listening to this old soundtrack, though, we kind of wince to think how this drivel might have affected us if punk hadn't come along to make us totally boring and ... LP, Vinyl record album

RCA, 1972. Near Mint-
This is the kind of moog album we can get behind – a sweet 70s update of the moogy groovy that Hugo Montenegro first started crafting in the 60s! The album's got both moog and Arp – the latter of which brings in more of a 70s electric vibe – and there's also some very cool sound ... LP, Vinyl record album

Elmer Bernstein/Shorty Rogers & His Giants

Man With The Golden Arm – Original Soundtrack
Decca, 1955. Very Good+
One of the greatest jazz soundtracks of all time! Elmer Bernstein wrote the score to Otto Preminger's chilling film version of Nelson Algren's book The Man With The Golden Arm – a sad tale of jazz, gambling, and heroin addiction on the streets of Chicago (not far from Dusty Groove, in fact!) ... Brian May

Road Warrior
Varese, 1982. Near Mint-
Brian May's classic score to the first Road Warrior film – nicely lean compared to overblown modes to follow. No Tina Turner – but lots of great guitar work and orchestrations! LP, Vinyl record album
Columbia, 1986. Very Good+
Iconic soundtrack to the 80s blockbuster, including "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins, "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, and the "Top Gun Anthem" by Harold Faltermeyer and Steve Stevens. LP, Vinyl record album

Roy Budd

Wild Geese
A&M, 1978. Very Good+
Tightly-strung score for this forgotten war flick starring Roger Moore, Richard Burton, and Richard Harris. Budd does a nice job with the orchestra on this one, and most of the themes have a snappy militaristic style, in the vein of The Magnificent Seven or The Great Escape. Not as many jazzy ...
